Here is my final submitted piece for the Cyberpunk MattePaint Competition. Mixed the theme of CyberPunk with the movie "Heat" and with the twist in the second week of Big Medium Small assets. This is my final result.
3D techniques with overpaint in Photoshop using the image assets provided for small details like lights, scratches, holes, reflections etc onto the render. Then in a second PSD using the same provided assets to extend the background and enhance the environment with image assets provided.
Attached is a contact sheet showing all the images I used. Second is the plate used; and third is the render.
Only outside resource was 3d assets from TurboSquid.

Adding the final touches to this. Has been a challenge to mix everything together to look good. Getting there.
Pushing the integration of the environment / cg to the plate and enhancing details.
Still lots to do but this is the overall idea. Working on integration, and push more on the bg for cyberpunk style more.
Really pushing for story and color vs composition in this piece.
Found this little thing in the image packs provided. Little security drone.
Pushing the plate and render integration together fully now. Im taking elements from photos provided like reflection and signs and symbols to add on top of the cg to bring together the reality. Still lots to do.
Finally got all the lighting and post done, now rendering final passes. Next is integration of passes with the plate and dmp extension of buildings and reflections.
Getting my CG working, lighting lookdev, and cleaned up the plate. Took other images from the MattePaint Pack and incorporated it into the plate.
Next step is adding the gas canisters.
Setting up 3d and lighting for environement. Working to push this through fast.
Planning out my shot. Getting my assets together and prepping my plate and 3d layout with rendering.
Just working on a few assets to help built the world.
Also doing some Art Direction on the overall idea studying what this world really naturally is like.
Trying to avoid the typical look of Cyberpunk where its so many colors and all over the place with clusters of elements.
